Taller Mental de Gráfica -Graphic Mental Studio- was conceived by two heads and four hands in 2008. It was created in a need to remind (and do not ever forget) what a printing workshop is, what graphic is, what working collectively is, what making prints collectively is, what it is to THINK COLLECTIVELY the GRAPHIC.



The technique is not a constraint itself; is not a territory, a border or boundary. Graphic is the reason, but not the excuse, or better yet, is not the shield.
These two people decided to talk of DOING rather than of ART. Because they believe in countless ways, in which all of us who are interested in doing, DO. And they truly believe, graphic is just another way to DO. One which means for them the golden tightrope holding ideas, needs, thoughts, discussions, worlds and bags.

Taller Mental de Gráfica, was born amid the confusion of arriving from another Other place, in the middle of a search for an art that escapes and returns when it wants with many words and meanings in between. Thinking many things at once, taking steps and turns, wanting to be more aware of who accompanies the disappointments, the loves, the oblivion, in art and in life, or in life that is art.
